2021 I launched Sarah Sums It Up – a mixture of drunk history and schoolhouse rock videos. I tried my best not to make people angry (and with the internet these days, BOY that is HARD) while unbiasedly explaining topics like cicadas or Tupperware. You all watched them, you shared them, you loved them, and thus the SARAHDACTYLS were born!

To celebrate the first season of videos, I pulled the top seven most viewed videos I made and put them in one cute space for you, my blog! These videos had some of the most views, some led to fantastic projects that I was able to be a part of, and one even won me an award (looking at you Texas Energy). Okay guys this one is BIG because in 2021 there was like a mega brood of cicadas getting ready to pop out and they’ve waited 17 years for this and they were like an enormous winged cloud storm army.

Okay so we’re gonna start out in the Medieval Era, Both genders had little pouches slung from a rope attached to them for essentials, equality! Exciting! Medieval dude is like “hey can i buy you some mead with my pouch money?” and medieval lady is like “i got my own pouch money!” because she was ahead of her time. Does the pocket stay equal for both genders?

In February Texas got REALLY cold, like colder than Alaska cold, and people lost power. I talk about how the Texas energy grid failed, why the grid failed, and what laws were passed to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
